Celebrate College Colors Day With a T-shirt Trade-in

By Maryland Today Staff

Are T-shirts from college visits collecting dust in the back of your closet? College Colors Day, when people nationwide are encouraged to wear their school colors, is the perfect chance for Terps to make a trade and rock the red, black and gold just before football season kicks off.

On Friday, the first 500 people to bring another college’s shirt to the University Book Center at the Stamp Student Union between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. will receive a UMD T-shirt for free, as well as a 20% coupon.

Then, show your school spirit by donning your new shirt along with your favorite Terp gear—from Maryland flag-themed socks to a bright red “M” baseball cap—and share it on social media! Use the hashtag #CollegeColorsDay and tag @univofmaryland on Instagram or @UofMaryland on X/Twitter.

Maryland Today is produced by the Office of Marketing and Communications for the University of Maryland community on weekdays during the academic year, except for university holidays.
