Campus Vaccine Clinic Scheduled Thursday-Friday

By Maryland Today Staff

The University Health Center will offer vaccinations with the Pfizer vaccine from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday and Friday.

The shots for both first and second doses are available to all students, faculty and staff. Free parking is available at the Union Lane Garage for those attending the clinic. Appointments are available at http://myuhc.umd.edu.

The University System of Maryland has mandated vaccination for all students and personnel at USM institutions, including UMD; Aug. 2 is the deadline for UMD students, faculty and staff coming to campus this fall to receive their final shot.

Employees and students who are unvaccinated, regardless of whether they have a health or religious exemption, will be expected to wear masks and be tested twice weekly for COVID-19. Unvaccinated students without exemptions will be barred from campus facilities, while employees who fail to follow masking or testing requirements will receive progressive discipline, including termination.

Maryland Today is produced by the Office of Marketing and Communications for the University of Maryland community on weekdays during the academic year, except for university holidays.
