Georgina Dodge, vice president for diversity and inclusion, emailed the campus community today in the wake of the mass shootings in Gilroy, California; El Paso, Texas; and Dayton, Ohio; to remind students, staff and faculty that many campus resources are available for those struggling with the tragedies.
“While it is important to note and track these tragedies, we must not let ourselves become desensitized to the emotions they evoke in us as well as the impact they have on the communities in which they occur,” she said.
