UMD students, faculty and staff and community members are invited to attend open forums Wednesday to provide input on a new facilities master plan that will guide future campus development.
The plan is meant to establish a physical planning framework to promote future stewardship, orderly growth, efficient use of capital and operating resources, and appropriate development of available land consistent with the University of Maryland’s strategic plan, mission and values. It aims to respond to current and projected needs while enhancing the connectivity of campus with surrounding communities.
No advance registration is required to attend the forums:
- Noon-1 p.m.: Virtual forum (open to all)
- 2-3:30 p.m.: Edward St. John Learning and Teaching Center, Room 2204 (faculty and staff)
- 5-6:30 p.m.: Edward St. John Learning and Teaching Center, Room 2204 (undergraduate and graduate students)
An online survey is also open to all stakeholders through June 30. A final plan is expected to be approved by June 2023.
