Campus Drive and Other Major Routes to Reopen for Start of School Year

Starting in mid-August, key UMD roadways will reopen after summer closures for Purple Line and other construction work. The progress made on these projects outside of the academic year will reduce impacts when students return to campus.

Here is a schedule and map of the reopenings:

• August 12 (approximate): Campus Drive from Regents Drive to Union Lane
• August 18 (approximate):
  • Campus Drive from Paint Branch Drive to Regents Drive
  • Fieldhouse Drive south of the Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center
  • Regents Drive Garage
• September 2: Access to Union Lane from Campus Drive, near the Stamp Student Union. Until then, Union Lane Garage can be accessed using Fieldhouse Drive (see pedestrian detour map).
