The university is seeking the campus community’s participation in the Belonging and Community at UMD survey, open April 3-26.
The brief, anonymous assessment seeks to help administrators better understand the experiences and perceptions of students, faculty and staff.
“Belonging is essential for individual and community well-being, for personal, academic and professional success, and for ensuring everyone in our community can thrive,” said President Darryll J. Pines. “In our pursuit of excellence, it is imperative that we not only set goals but measure our progress along the way. “
Students who complete the survey will have a chance to win athletics giveaways and create an ice cream flavor at the Maryland Dairy. For every survey completed by faculty and staff, $1 will be given to the Campus Pantry or Student Crisis Fund. In addition, a total of $10,000 is available for campus competitions recognizing units with the highest participation rates.
