100 Years of Extension’s Cultivation

A hundred years ago,when farmers across Maryland were isolated from each other, the Maryland Cooperative Extension Service was created to share vital information about agriculture and homemaking. Now the University of Maryland Extension, based in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, has a much broader focus, offering education and support on topics such as health and wellness and environmental preservation.
