# Shooting for Success, Fueled by Family

Staring down the road crowd with arms outstretched, Shyanne Sellers ’25 grinned as her teammates mobbed her to celebrate her [buzzer-beating three](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E7kYzSNo5h4) that took down Purdue her sophomore season.

That “SportsCenter”-worthy skill and swagger run through the Terps basketball star’s veins: Her dad, Brad Sellers, competed alongside Michael Jordan on the Chicago Bulls.

But the tattoo on her left arm suggests another inspiration for her hoops success.
